MARIPOSA COUNTY
Mariposa County has many beautiful country mountain roads. From February through May the wild flowers are spectacular. The Merced River Canyon and Hite's Cove are but a few of the many spots.
The Mariposa Museum and History Center holds many Native American artifacts and many objects of the 1849 Gold Rush.
Mariposa County has the oldest courthouse in the West still in use. Tours are conducted each Sunday.
